The Edmonton Padres 13U AAA team have become the first to qualify to represent the Padres brand in Westerns.  With strong back-to-back Provincial weekends (qualifier and championship round weekends) in Red Deer, the Padres put themselves in position to qualify by making the bronze medal game.  A back-and-forth battle with Okotoks saw the Padres come out on top 22-19 to earn the bronze.

The Padres will now travel to Cloverdale, BC as Alberta Team 2 in Westerns.  The tournament will take place over the August 15-18 weekend against teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  With the additional funds needed to get the team to the Lower Mainland, the Padres have set up a GoFundMe page:
